The House
01 / 05
Originally built as part of a block in the typical 1930s style, anchored in Berlage's urban plan. The façade, with its masonry and heavy window frames, retains the style of that era, its distinctive feature the loggia balcony facing Tintorettostraat.
The interior has been entirely renewed, almost to the point of internal new-build. A new basement level, a private elevator, a large void and a sculptural staircase connect all living levels in a beautiful and pleasant manner.
It feels like a home in the middle of a forest. It is pure calm.

Living is concentrated on the first floor, with seven large windows and a south-facing loggia balcony. The living room and kitchen face south and west, ensuring an abundance of natural light.
The kitchen is a modern Bulthaup design with Gaggenau, Bora and Siemens appliances. Sleek and minimalist, more an object than a workspace. A dark-marble fireplace and a characterful slate accent wall integrate seamlessly into the whole, giving the room a warm and exclusive atmosphere.
A “clean kitchen” approach contributes to a tidy, sophisticated look.

The master suite occupies the entire second floor: 63 m² with extra-high ceilings and exposed rafters. Behind the golden wall, a walk-in closet is built in.
The suite adjoins a spacious, thoughtfully designed en-suite bathroom with an infrared-heated walk-in shower, double sinks and a bathtub. On the landing there is a separate toilet and an additional multifunctional room.
An exciting and playful space, bathed in light.

The first-floor loggia, with wooden pilasters and a recessed position, offers a sheltered, private south-facing spot, ideal for a glass of wine after dinner.
The rooftop terrace is beautifully decked with a louvred pergola, terrace heating and outdoor lighting. Total privacy, high above the square.
In summer we love to spend our days on the rooftop terrace.
